The class of 2025 left their mark on the LM-Radnor rivalry— the trophy is back in Radnor!
Though the game was this past Saturday, preparation began long before. Weeks before, each grade began painting posters based on different countries to line Radnor’s hallways, as the theme was “Olympics.” The spirit days kicked off on Friday, 10/25, with senior dress up. The following week students dressed up for Country vs. Country club, Throwback Tuesday, and USA day, all of which culminated on rally day.
The LM rally on Thursday, October 31, was a success. From a Bollywood dance act to the classic Girls’ and Boys’ dance, music was loud and spirits were high. The gym was covered in the class posters and Ancient Greek decor, including columns surrounding the stage that towered to the ceiling. “Beat LM, Beat LM,” echoed as the entire school crammed themselves into Radnor’s bleachers. Later in the evening was the annual bonfire where footballers, cheerleaders, and students gathered in one final act of support for the game.
Fast forward to Saturday. The stands were packed, especially with Radnor students and parents. After a tense first quarter, Radnor brought the final score to 42-21. One last win, one last half-day Monday, and one high-spirited (first and) last LM Dance for the class of 2025. “We all went into the game expecting a win and we made that happen,” RHS Football captain Charlie Nevins said. “And I couldn’t have asked for a better end to my high school football career.”
