Student Spotlight: Luciano Chadha

Zoe Margolies and Spotlights

Luciano Chadda, 11th Grade

Who is your favorite Spider-Man?

L: Oof…I don’t know, that’s a tough one… I’m gonna have to go with… Tobey Maguire

Z: Any reason for it?

L: I think I like those movies the best

What is your spirit animal?

L: I don’t know what my spirit animal is, but my favorite animal is a lion.

Do you have a hidden talent?

L:  I’d say I’m pretty good at chugging things like I can chug water pretty fast.

If you were stranded on an island, what three movies would you choose to bring along?

L: Shutter Island, Inception, and The Dark Night.

Z: Do you have a favorite out of those three?

L: I don’t, but I really like movies that mess with your mind; those are my favorites. So, Shutter Island or Inception- one of those two.

I heard you’re vegetarian, I’d love to know how you decided to become vegetarian.

L: *laughs* Um, it’s something that my dad just had enforced on us since we were younger. He just grew up really loving nature,  and he always told us that he didn’t want us to hurt or kill any animals, so we’ve all just been vegetarian.

Z: Any challenges like going out with friends?

L: I get bullied a lot by all of my friends; they all like to make fun of me. My friend Cooper calls me “veggie monster,” so I mean not really any real challenges- just that everybody likes to make fun of me for it .

Z: What are some of your favorite vegetarian foods?

L: I don’t know. Veggie burgers are okay- all of the vegetarian substitutes are pretty nasty, but I would just say regular food that anyone can eat like pasta. Pasta is my favorite food.

Z: Do you have a favorite pasta?

L: Yeah, my grandma makes amazing pasta. It’s called aglio. It’s with garlic, olive oil, and parmesan cheese, and it’s delicious.

I also heard you play lacrosse and soccer, so If you were to play one for the rest of your life, which would it be?

L: It would easily be lacrosse; lacrosse is by far my favorite sport.

Z: What’s your position in lacrosse?

L: I play defense.

Z: And do you have a specific reason why you like it more?

L: I like it the best because you just get to hit people and your job is to take the ball away. Although it doesn’t get all the glory, I think it’s more fun than scoring goals. And it’s necessary- defense wins championships.
