Marrisa DeMitis
Marrisa has attended RTSD schools since kindergarten and is the embodiment of Radnor. A fun fact about her is that she can say the alphabet backwards! The two words to describe Marrisa are outgoing and charismatic. Her favorite high school memory is making it to states in her Junior year of Field hockey. Marrisa says “I think people should vote for me because I have great school pride, positive energy, and am friendly to all.”
Margot Johnson
Talking to Margot about her nomination, she explained “It was unexpected but I try to be approachable and someone that people can always rely on” This is true to Margot’s character; she is so animated, even having performed in Whose Line is it anyways in the past! She is a jack of many trades and has been teaching herself how to play guitar. Her favorite high school memory is winning the lacrosse state championship in my freshman year. “I embody several of the core qualities that Radnor regards highly, like resilience, leadership and kindness,” Margot said.
Zoe Margolies
Who needs a half day on Monday if you could hang out with track star Zoe Margolies? While fiercely painting the senior hallway, Zoe and I were casually talking. I asked how her recent track meet went and she responded with the casual “good.” Suddenly, she subtly dropped the fact she had just broken the school record for the 5k. That’s what I call a talent, and maybe too humble, QUEEN. Throughout the school community, you can find her leading the student body in student council and her iconic “Outfits of the Week” articles. Reflecting on her time at Radnor High School, her favorite memory “has been the finishing [of] the field house.” She remarks that “everyone who helped put in so much work so it was awesome seeing it finished and turning out so amazing!”
Margarita Moreland
Who knew that Margarita, greatly involved in photography and the humanities, was a finalist in the Indiana State Science Fair? I certainly didn’t know that, but I do know that Margarita’s fun personality and artistic talents deserve a spot on the homecoming court. After returning to school in person, her excited presence brightened our day as she was so happy to experience normalcy while “seeing [her] friends’ and teachers’ faces.” Her dedication to Radnor’s community, whether through student organizations or capturing the excitement of Radnor sports, certainly places her in the heart of our community.
Sydney Goldenberg
When Sydney’s not pirouetting her way through The Nutcracker, she’s serving as the Executive Director of Student Affairs or doing the worm. Although she says she was surprised to be nominated, we had no doubt that Sydney would appear in the 2023 Court. Her favorite memories at Radnor are usually the LM Pep Rallies. How exciting to add another to that list! Sydney makes inclusivity and spirit her priorities at Radnor – she is honored to be nominated and would love to continue promoting school spirit as Homecoming Queen. She’s very committed to making an impact at RHS. We’re excited to see where this commitment takes her next… perhaps to the crown?
Angel Flores
Class Vice President for all four years, Angel Flores has had a considerate hand in Radnor spirit! President and founder of the LatinX club, Angel is passionate about welcoming people from all cultures and backgrounds. He’s a big fan of geography and learning about countries and their capitals and flags. When asked about his nomination, he mentioned his role in the student council, along with the many friendships he’s created over the past few years. Angel looks back fondly on all Radnor spirit events but noted the fieldhouse in particular. He remembers how exciting it was to sign his name on the back wall, sealing his place in Radnor history. If crowned Homecoming King, Angel promises to be friends with everyone! Good luck Angel!
Noah Matunis
Noah Matunis does it all! On top of managing Radnor Soccer and his involvement in Tennis, the Jewish Student Association, and the Radnor Investment Group, Noah is able to solve a Rubix cube in under 5 seconds. That’s the kind of Homecoming Court material we deserve! On his nomination, Noah humbly explained that he has “zero clue” but is “happy to be here.” Looking back on his years at Radnor, Noah reflected that his favorite memories are all of the LM Weeks he’s experienced. What a full-circle moment to now be presented at the LM Game! Noah is both “awesome and cool” and would love to dawn the crown of Homecoming King. Good luck Noah!
Finn Ryan
There’s no doubt that Finn Ryan is a leader of Radnor High School. As Senior Class President, member of Radnor’s theater productions, and (above all) Co-Editor-in-Chief of the critically acclaimed publication Radnorite, he can be found in every corner of the school. His school spirit certainly spreads as he “include[s] everyone in Radnor spirit events” and what else could be a better example of this than LM week? Though LM decorating is certainly havoc for all involved, Finn points out the affection for the “specific time in the process of the weekend LM decorating that everyone becomes delirious. Usually, this is a sign that we are doing something right!” Without a doubt, his school spirit and dedication are evident in the marvelous senior hallway decorations and countless Instagram posts with the Barbie box.
Jackson Carey
Having spent “five of the first six years of [his] life in a suburb outside of Nashville Tennessee,” Jackson Carey, more recently known as Big J, is truly the modern icon of the senior class. His drop-dead gorgeous dance moves and awe-striking smile easily compete with Elvis Presley and Harry Styles. His way with words is truly remarkable, from his “chirps in the Class of 2024 GroupMe, jokes, [and] hot takes.” Jackson truly gives life to the undoubtedly eloquent Class of 2024 GroupMe. Without Jackson, Radnor would certainly lose a large piece of its identity.
Harvey Kerr
Harvey is a joy to see on campus and the stage of Radnor’s musicals. Behind the scenes, he can be found dancing without a care in the world. In many ways, he was the perfect participant in Footloose. Harvey always brightens our days and we’re sure he’ll brighten this year’s Homecoming Court!
