I will never forget walking into Radnor High School as a bright-eyed freshman looking to change the world. I will never forget starring in the school musical and feeling the blinding glare of the spotlights. I will never forget leading the Radnor girls’ croquet team to our first district championship game, then crying in my teammates’ arms when our season was cut short by a heartbreaking loss to Rydell High School. I will never forget cramming for my AP French exam or neglecting school during senior skip days. I will also never forget sitting down at my keyboard and typing about a bunch of things that never actually happened.
But these memories feel real to me. They represent the product of four years of hard work at this school. My friends told me that becoming a super-senior wasn’t a good decision, but I knew within my heart that it was necessary for the good of The Radish. I am so glad I’ll be able to continue my academic and journalistic endeavors here next year, and I hope my peers from the Class of 2026 will join me. As we were once told in kindergarten, we can do anything we put our minds to. So let’s stay at Radnor and continue to rule the school in 2027.
Sincerely,
Anrui Xu
