On October 15th, 2020, the virtual Radnor High School Activities Fair was held. If you have any thoughts about joining any clubs or activities, you can look through the list below which is broken down into categories.

Community Service Clubs 

  • Microsoft Registered Refurbisher Club
  • Help break the digital divide by refurbishing the district’s old computers and give them to students and community members that don’t have technology.

  • Action Earth 
  • Work on environmental projects throughout the community. 
  • Meetings: Once or twice a month in school (or on Zoom) with additional out of school events

  • African Education Program 
  • Helps fundraise for an organization called the African Education Program which helps educate kids in Zambia and battle poverty.

  • American Red Cross Club 
  • Support the endeavors of the American Red Cross Association and work closely with coordinators from the association.

  • Best Buddies Club 
  • Provides inclusive social opportunities 
  • Meetings: Monthly Zoom or small group gathering to celebrate friends

  • Care 4 Cancer 
  • Help those undergoing cancer treatment by making homemade cards and donating items to make care packages for them.

  • Children’s Heart Club 
  • Help to spread awareness about children born with birth defects. 
  • Meetings: Once a month virtually to discuss volunteering projects

  • Community Club 
  • Raise awareness within the Radnor High School community and various issues that affect the nation. Hold various fundraisers to support numerous organizations. 
  • Meetings: Few times a month to collaborate and brainstorm ideas for that month’s fundraiser/event.

  • Glamour Gals 
  • Provide companionship for those living in senior homes. Provide makeovers, manicures, and play board games with the senior citizens. During Covid, they will be writing pen pal letters to connect.

  • Homeless Youth Project 
  • Help homeless runaway and traffic children in the Philadelphia region and raise awareness to the issue of youth homelessness. Each year, the club hosts a large district-wide collection drive on MLK day.

  • Humans Helping Humans 
  • Raise money and volunteer for those in need. Learn how to effectively use money and how to graphic design posters and tickets.

  • Radnor Thirst Project 
  • Be a part of a national organization dedicated to bringing clean and sustainable water sources to Africa. Currently focused on bringing clean water to Swaziland. This allows for women to get jobs and overall, a better quality of life.

  • Students Helping Students 
  • Help to improve the education and disparity our country faces by providing low-income schools with the proper resources to engage their students.

  • UNICEF Club 
  • Host fundraisers and raise money for children in need around the world. 
  • Meetings: Monthly meetings and weekly meetings near large fundraisers through Zoom.

Science Clubs 

  • Annenberg Science Symposium 
  • Gives students opportunities to conduct in depth research about rising medical practices. Each year they collectively pick one medical topic to break into subgroups to go into further depth. There is a competition each year and get the chance to witness a live surgery.

  • Neuroscience Club 
  • Discuss developments in neuroscience based off articles that are selected and read as a group. There usually are monthly experiments such as sheep brain dissection (when permitted). Attend the Penn Brain Bee in the spring and host an experiment at the district stem night.

  • Radnor ACS Chemistry Club 
  • Experiment and learn about chemistry 
  • Meetings: Monthly experiments, Chemistry Olympiad, demonstrations

  • Seaperch 
  • Design an underwater ROV and compete in the annual regional competition. The team has competed at internationals multiple times throughout the country.

  • USA Biology Olympiad 
  • Do fun experiments with lots of games and food to learn biology. Participate in the Olympiad exam which takes place in the spring and take part in the district stem night.

  • USA Physics Olympiad 
  • Participate in physics puzzles and problem solving. Also compete in the “F=MA” USA Physics Olympiad Competitions. No background knowledge needed; they will help you learn all that you need to know.

Athletics/Hobbies Clubs 

  • Chess Club 
  • Compete, play with friends, and gain a better knowledge of chess. Compete in optional competitive tournaments. 
  • Meetings: Virtually on most weekends and in person when permitted. Meetings are optional.

  • Radnor Girls Crew Club 
  • Compete on the crew team and practice on the Schuykill River. Create close connections through team building activities, their annual team sleepover, scavenger hunt, and pasta parties. No experience required. 
  • Meetings: Practices on the Scuykill River every weekday afterschool with Covid-19 permitting regatatas.

  • Radnor Girls Ultimate Frisbee 
  • Learn and play ultimate frisbee and compete in at least two tournaments per season including state championships in May. No experience required. 
  • Meetings: Practice Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday following Covid-19 guidelines

  • Learn skills on flags, rifles, sabres, and dance.

Speech/Opinion Clubs 

  • Amnesty International 
  • Discuss attacks on human rights and write letters for the Write for Rights campaign.

  • Competitive Debate Club 
  • Learn how to structure and destroy your friends in a debate. No past experience required. 
  • Meetings: Optional monthly competition meetings (all virtual with covid)

  • Dream Leadership Academy 
  • Empowers the voices of students with an opportunity to dialogue with leaders. The leaders range from those in the NBA to entrepreneurs.

  • Ethics Bowl 
  • Question everyday problems around you such as running a red light when no one’s around. Every week, they meet and have an open discussion and go over a unique case each time in preparation for their big competition.

  • Girls Empowerment Group 
  • Empowers the voices of young women and looks at issues that they may be confronting.

  • Junior State of America 
  • Explore the intersection between debate and politics. Be a part of informal debates about current events. Host a moderated debate between the young democrats and the young republicans.

  • League of Women Voters 
  • Increase voter participation and further democracy. It is a non-partisan organization, and any political views are welcome. Open to men and women alike.

  • Bring issues such as climate change or racial discrimination to light by creating activism projects to educate and inspire the community.

  • Discussions based meetings revolving around democratic ideas and student/community involvement.

  • Presentations of contemporary issue and then subsequent discussions from a conservative perspective.

  • Seeks to promote open and honest conversations between students, educators, and parents. Hosts an event each year that acts as a safe space for anyone interested.

Academic Clubs 

  • Battle of the Books 
  • Read and discuss about books and authors. There are game questions on the books. 
  • Meetings: Discuss information about latest books/authors

  • Solve math problems and puzzles and compete in a team in various mathematical contests and competitions both locally and nationally.

  • Be a part of Radnor’s academic quiz team and compete with schools across Delaware County on a team of 10 people to answer questions in a broad range of subjects.

  • Acapella Ensembles 
  • Men’s Ensemble: B-Sharps 
  • Women’s Ensemble: Madrigals 
  • Mixed Ensemble: Pro-Musica

  • Play jazz or classical music for residents and nursing homes. 
  • Meetings: Monthly or bimonthly. Usually at retirement homes, but with Covid, students send in videos playing their instruments which are compiled into a collective video to be shown.

Art/Media Clubs 

  • Facets 
  • Express yourself in a visual or written manner. Plan and host events and attend coffee houses for literary works. At the end of each spring, Facets produces a magazine that features a collection of students’ produced work.

  • Radnorite 
  • Write for the school paper. Any level of commitment and write about whatever you want 
  • Meetings: Twice a month on Thursdays at 7pm

  • The Radish 
  • Radnor’s satire publication. Comments on and critiques social and political issues. Also does graphic designs, political cartoons, and cartoons.

  • Opportunity to work in video production whether it’s in front of the camera, behind, or both. No prior experience needed, and you will learn everything you need to know. Get access to the most up-to-date software.

  • Enhance the Radnor community through a variety of art activities. 
  • Meetings: Weekly on Tuesday nights from 6 to 7 on Zoom

  • Yearbook 
  • Help to edit the yearbook and give new ideas for it.

  • Note in a Tote 
  • Create fun events to help make a difference in the homeless community in Philadelphia. Participate in donation drives where you go into the city and elementary schools to write positive notes. 
  • Meetings: 2 meetings a month

  • Radnor Ambassadors 
  • Plan and host charity events and kindness week. Other events that they organize are freshman fundamentals and an annual gloves and hats drive.

  • Participate in service projects and attend rotary leadership events

  • Without covid, there are game nights, movie nights, monthly meetings where people bring food like a potluck, and they have an annual Chinatown trip. Currently with covid, they are still thinking of fun activities to do.

  • Pre-covid: Unite students of different backgrounds through food, music, and games. Also organize and run the high school’s annual multicultural potluck and hold fundraisers to raise money for children in the Andes. During Covid: Create more service opportunities and set up a pen pal program with the children in the Andes.

  • Observe patterns that make up languages to understand bits and pieces of any language you can think of. Competes in North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad Competition in January

  • Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)  
  • Learn about different fields of business through interactive workshops and fun competitions that they attend each year.

  • Collaborate with your peers in identifying investment opportunities and strategies. Learn how to manage your investments in a mock stock market. You can compete at state and national level stock market competitions.
